ruby + rafael | inn at rancho santa fe | san diego wedding photography

I usually write a little blurb for my couples, but when I got this info from Rafael I thought it was perfect to best describe them!

“Our story starts on Dec. 12, 2008, the night of a coworker’s birthday party. The music was loud, the room was dark but Ruby still caught my eye. She was wearing boots and a skirt and I thought she looked classy and beautiful. She, on the other hand, was more interested in eating pizza. We didn’t talk at all that night. It took 5 more months and 3 more birthday parties before Ruby and I became friends enough for me to ask her out. To me, it was our first date. To her, it wasn’t… until maybe the end of the night. I dropped her off and was expecting a hug, but she just said “thank you” and ran out of my car…At that time, we worked opposite shifts so it was tough to hang out. Still, I was persistent. I arranged many group “hang outs” and finally she felt more comfortable with me. It was during this time we found out how similar we are. We’re both Catholic, went to UCSD, and share many common interests. Ruby had once said she would never date a coworker but so much for that… she didn’t see me coming!”
