ginny + jason | el cortez

This fun couple celebrated their {Christmas themed} wedding at the historic El Cortez Don Room. I always love to ask my clients about their story and feel that Ginny best describes it….

“Every time I saw him I couldn’t help but blush; so tall, and confident, you could tell he took great care of himself. He truly was handsome. Sometimes, he would give me a little smirk that would cause me to feel butterflies in my heart. After a year of passing by each other, Jason had asked me how my weekend was but I nervously said it was good and walked past him. I felt so stupid!! Lucky for me, Jason had another opportunity to talk to me at Specialty’s Cafe a week-or-so later (which is a little café on the first floor of my old office downtown). Although my voice was an octave high and I was jabbering on about veggie chips, he still asked for my number. I was over-the-moon! Going to the elevator, one of my girlfriends (also co-worker) came out and I rushed her outside to squeal about my run-in.
We immediately hit it off . I would text him hundreds of questions, (okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little) wanting to know everything about him. That following weekend we met at Old Town and our story continues to be one of my favorite stories. We have an easy connection and a lot in common from sports, holiday festivities, love for animals, traveling and spending time with our families. However, going through life’s challenges, like a career change, being hangry and so on, we really experienced how strong we are together.
September 2017, we met Jason’s family for our vacation in Greece for a Mediterranean cruise. While we were in Mykonos, which was our first stop, Jason mentioned he had a birthday surprise for me. As we parted from the family later in the day, my mind was racing trying to figure out what he had in store. To my surprise, he reserved a sunset horseback riding excursion on the beach. I was so excited and giddy, we’ve talked about going horseback riding for some time! The first beach we went to, we were able to take a few photos and enjoy the sunset. Traveling along to the second beach the night had fallen and it became very dark. Once arriving a gal grabbed my reins and I was a little confused as to what she was doing. I realized she was with the horse ranch and was leading the horse to this magnificently romantic fire on the beach. I was blown away at the beautiful scenery. A large bonfire was illuminating the table filled with grapes, cheeses and meats. Tiny tea lights were set in the cliff side behind the lounge chairs and of course, a chilled bottle of wine was ready for us. After the shock and surprise of this beautiful setup, Jason poured our wine and started fiddling with his backpack. I made myself busy eating the delicious meats and cheeses. Mid bite, Jason goes down on one knee and purposes…I was completely caught off guard! Like a little girl, I giggled nervously and said YES! Together we get to have our Happily Ever After ♥…”

SOOOO romantic! I Love it!!
